What the OKX referral code gives you
Our link opens OKX's sign-up page (titled "Earn rewards when you get started on OKX | My referral code: cryptperks") with "20% off on trading fees" as its headline [2]. OKX's affiliate FAQ says an affiliate can adjust the rate for invited users after they sign up, but the rate can only be raised, not lowered or cancelled [5]. The 20% is the share of our referral commission that we pass back to you, set in our affiliate account. The page gives no end date for it, so check your own fee page after you sign up.
Signing up through a referral also enrols you in OKX's New User Bonus program [1][3]. After sign-up the tasks and rewards appear in the Campaign center (web: More > Campaign center; app: Menu > Campaign center) and can differ by your country of residence [4]. OKX's terms say a trading task must be met by a single trade of the required size: several smaller trades do not add up, and zero-fee stablecoin pairs and zero-fee Convert do not count [4].
Rewards arrive locked and unlock after a lock-up period, must be opened within 30 days of receipt or they expire, and OKX stops showing the tasks and rewards 180 days after sign-up [4]. OKX's page for our link shows no headline welcome figure, so this guide does not quote one.
Where to enter the OKX referral code (website and app)
1. Open our link. OKX asks for your country or region first; select it, agree to its Terms of Service, Risk and Compliance Disclosure and Privacy Notice, and continue [1][2].
2. Enter your email address and the Referral code (optional), then select Sign up. Our link applies cryptperks for you [1].
3. Enter the email verification code, add your phone number with the correct country code, and enter the phone verification code. OKX says both an email and a phone number must be bound [1].
4. In the app the order is the same: Sign up, choose your country, Create account, then your email and the optional referral code [1].
5. If a referral link will not open, OKX says to sign up in the app and enter the referral code manually [1].
6. OKX says referral relationships are confirmed only through referral codes, so check the code is right before you sign up [1].
Add the code when you sign up: our link applies it for you. Once the account exists the code cannot be added or changed: OKX says referral codes must be added before the account is created [3]. To see whether an account has a referrer, OKX points to Menu > Account settings > Profile > Referral rewards in the app [3].
Identity verification and where OKX is not available
OKX says that after registration you must complete identity verification and be at least 18: without it you cannot buy or sell crypto, deposit or withdraw (including internal transfers), borrow or transfer funds. One identity document can be linked to one OKX account [1].
OKX's Risk and Compliance Disclosure (last updated 8 July 2026) lists Restricted Locations: Afghanistan, Canada, Cuba, Hong Kong, Iran, India, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, parts of the United States and its territories (Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and the US Virgin Islands) and Uzbekistan. It adds that OKX may restrict some services elsewhere, including in Australia, the Bahamas, Brazil, Eritrea, Russia, South Korea and the United Kingdom [6].
The new-user tasks and rewards vary by country of residence [4], and OKX's referral rules say some referral features may not be available in your region [3]. The list is OKX's, it can change, and it does not tell you whether local rules allow you to use the exchange. We read it on 29 September 2026.
What you pay after sign-up
OKX's fee page lists regular-user rates that match the table below for spot and USDT-margined futures, and says its fees vary by region, so the figures you see depend on where you register [7]. How the 20% discount from the sign-up page is applied against these rates is OKX's to say; check your own fee page after you sign up.
