Short answer

For catching listings early, none of these three — Gate.io at around 2,000 coins and MEXC at over 1,700 list fastest. Between the three here, Bitget casts the wider net at around 1,200 coins and Bybit carries the bigger package at $30,000; Gems Trade’s reported ~120 tokens is too small a catalogue for early listings.

Gems Trade is a centralised exchange that launched in 2025, registered in Poland, and is best known for a "baskets" feature that lets you buy or sell several tokens in a single transaction. It appears in searches alongside Bitget and Bybit, usually from traders asking the same question: which of these is the better place to catch new coins early?

This comparison answers that with the figures each side publishes. Where a number comes from a third party rather than the exchange itself, it says so — Gems Trade is not one of the six exchanges CryptPerks partners with, so we hold its figures to the same standard we would want applied to ours.

What each one actually is

Gems Trade is the newest of the three by several years. CoinMarketCap lists its 24-hour spot volume in the region of $2 billion, and the exchange states it operates globally with its main registration in Poland. Its distinguishing product is basket trading: one order that buys or sells a group of tokens together, which is genuinely uncommon among centralised exchanges.

Bitget and Bybit are older, larger venues built around different strengths. Bitget runs the only copy-trading system among major exchanges that covers spot and futures at the same time, and lists around 1,200 coins. Bybit carries roughly 400 coins, the largest advertised welcome package on the market at up to $30,000, and a weekly tournament calendar.

None of the three is primarily a "new listings first" exchange, which matters for the question people are actually asking. That title belongs to Gate.io, at around 2,000 listed coins, and to MEXC at over 1,700 — both far ahead of anything in this three-way comparison.

Bitget and Bybit both charge 0.10% at the standard spot rate, dropping to 0.08% with a referral code. Those are the exchanges’ own published rates and the figures used throughout this site.

Gems Trade’s published spot rates have been reported as 0.10% maker and 0.15% taker, with lower tiers for high monthly volume. We were not able to confirm this against the exchange’s own fee page at the time of writing, so treat it as indicative and check gems.trade directly before you rely on it. On the same basis its catalogue has been reported at roughly 120 tokens — a fraction of Bitget’s 1,200 or Bybit’s 400.

If the reported taker rate is accurate, Gems Trade is the more expensive of the three to trade on, and the gap widens once a referral discount is applied to the other two. The catalogue difference is the larger point either way: an exchange listing around 120 tokens is not where you find a coin in its first week.

If early listings are the goal, none of these three is the right answer. Catalogue size is the mechanism: an exchange can only give you early access to tokens it actually lists, and the two venues that list fastest are MEXC and Gate.io.

MEXC carries over 1,700 coins and charges 0% on spot trading — the combination that matters most for this style of trading, because hunting early listings means trading in and out more often than a long-term holder does. Gate.io lists around 2,000 and holds the strongest launchpad of the exchanges we track, which is a different kind of early: buying at issue price before public trading opens at all.

Between Bitget and Bybit specifically, Bitget’s 1,200 coins give it the wider net, and its copy-trading system lets you follow traders who specialise in newer tokens rather than picking them yourself. Bybit wins on bonus size and tournaments, not on listing breadth.

Where Gems Trade does have a case

Basket trading is a real differentiator. Buying a group of tokens in one order is genuinely useful if you want thematic exposure — several AI tokens, or several DeFi tokens — without placing and managing separate trades. Neither Bitget nor Bybit offers an equivalent one-click basket product.

Its Polish registration also gives a clearer regulatory picture than some offshore venues, which matters to traders who weigh jurisdiction. And a newer exchange competing for users often prices aggressively, so its fee tiers are worth checking directly rather than assuming.

What it does not currently offer is scale — in listings, in welcome bonuses, or in track record. For a trader whose priority is reaching new tokens early, that is the deciding factor, and it points elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

Is Gems Trade better than Bitget or Bybit?

It depends entirely on what you want. Gems Trade offers basket trading, which neither of the others matches, and a clear Polish registration. Bitget and Bybit are older and much larger, list far more coins (around 1,200 and 400 against a reported ~120), and carry welcome packages of up to $6,200 and $30,000 respectively. For listing breadth and bonus value, Bitget and Bybit are ahead.

Which exchange lists new coins the earliest?

Among the exchanges we track, MEXC — with over 1,700 listed coins and a consistent record of listing small-cap and early-stage projects before larger venues. Gate.io is the widest at around 2,000 coins and holds the strongest launchpad, which gets you in at issue price before public trading begins. Neither Gems Trade, Bitget nor Bybit competes with those two on listing speed.

What does Gems Trade charge?

Its spot rates have been reported at 0.10% maker and 0.15% taker, with reductions at higher monthly volume. We could not verify this against the exchange’s own fee page, so check gems.trade before relying on it. For comparison, Bitget and Bybit both publish 0.10% standard spot, reduced to 0.08% with a referral code.

Does CryptPerks partner with Gems Trade?

No. CryptPerks covers six exchanges — Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate.io, MEXC and Binance — and has no affiliate relationship with Gems Trade. That is why this page cites third-party figures for it rather than presenting them as verified, and why there is no referral link for it here.

What is basket trading?

A single order that buys or sells several tokens at once, rather than placing a separate trade for each. It is useful for taking thematic exposure — a group of AI tokens, for instance — in one step. Gems Trade offers this as a headline feature; Bitget and Bybit do not have a direct equivalent, though Bitget’s copy trading achieves something similar by mirroring another trader’s whole position set.
